Spirit Radio Committee Meeting
September 11, 2002 Minutes

Meeting started at 8:40pm w/ Prayer following a
special 9/11 Memorial Service.

Committee Reports:

Father talked about his trip to Ashville, North
Carolina and the NRB Southeast Regional Convention. Father felt
that it was more of a retreat than a convention. Father will
give a more detailed report at the next meeting. Father
described the area as being very beautiful, rolling hills,
wonderful accommodations, and very expensive cab rides. Father
got a tour of the Christian radio station in the area, owned by
Blue Ridge Broadcasting. It has state of the art equipment and
is very spacious. Michael Card and Al Denson were the
entertainers.

Radio Committee luncheon was held August 18th. A
good time was had by all.

Big news received August 22nd. Father was having
dinner in Hawthorne with friends. He talked about having trouble
getting property for a radio facility in the Chiefland area.
Father mentioned that he would want to get in touch with the
Bailey Brothers (Winston Bailey). Found out that his friends
were cousins to Winston Bailey. Father talked to Winston by
phone. Bailey owns land in the area that we're interested in.
There could be a deal where we buy his land and swap with
Forrest Systems for a piece that's more desired by us for Spirit
Radio purposes.

Father showed the committee blueprints for what
could become the studios for Cross City (88.5). The area would
be 510 square feet. It would be part of an expansion of a
church/building project that includes classrooms. At this point,
construction is in the planning stages with no target date set.

Tickets were distributed for "The Big Band Bash"
for Oct 26th.

Father is working on a newsletter.
